{"id":6325,"date":"2026-04-25T10:25:51","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T13:25:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nahoranoticias.com\/?p=6325"},"modified":"2026-04-25T10:25:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T13:25:52","slug":"biologa-do-inpa-vence-maior-premio-da-ciencia-brasileira","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nahoranoticias.com\/?p=6325","title":{"rendered":"Bi\u00f3loga do Inpa vence maior pr\u00eamio da ci\u00eancia brasileira"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honraria foi concedida pelo CNPq<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/tts-app.ebc.com.br\/media\/tts\/255827.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bi\u00f3loga Maria Teresa Fernandez Piedade, do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amaz\u00f4nia (Inpa), \u00e9 a vencedora deste ano do Pr\u00eamio Almirante \u00c1lvaro Alberto, maior premia\u00e7\u00e3o da ci\u00eancia brasileira.&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/ebc.png?id=1687183&amp;o=node\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/ebc.gif?id=1687183&amp;o=node\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O an\u00fancio foi feito nesta sexta-feira (24) pelo Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cient\u00edfico e Tecnol\u00f3gico (CNPQ), que concede a honraria em parceria com a Marinha do Brasil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Criado em 1981, o Pr\u00eamio Almirante \u00c1lvaro Alberto \u00e9 atribu\u00eddo anualmente ao pesquisador que tenha se destacado pela realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de obra cient\u00edfica ou tecnol\u00f3gica de reconhecido valor.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cerim\u00f4nia de entrega ser\u00e1 no dia 7 de maio, no Rio de Janeiro, quando Maria Teresa receber\u00e1 um diploma, uma medalha e um pr\u00eamio de R$ 200 mil em dinheiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pesquisa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maria Teresa desenvolve pesquisas sobre a Amaz\u00f4nia h\u00e1 quase 50 anos. Atualmente, \u00e9 docente dos Programas de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Ecologia e Bot\u00e2nica do Inpa, e\u00a0lidera o grupo de pesquisa Ecologia, monitoramento e uso sustent\u00e1vel de \u00e1reas \u00famidas (Maua).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O desejo de trabalhar com pesquisas na regi\u00e3o amaz\u00f4nica, de acordo com a bi\u00f3loga, surgiu logo que come\u00e7ou o curso de Biologia, a muitos quil\u00f4metros de dist\u00e2ncia, na Universidade Federal de S\u00e3o Carlos, em S\u00e3o Paulo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Naquela \u00e9poca era basicamente um sonho&#8221;, lembra a pesquisadora.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mas o sonho come\u00e7ou a se tornar realidade a partir de uma especializa\u00e7\u00e3o, j\u00e1 no Inpa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Quando eu comecei, me foi oferecido um trabalho em ambientes de terra firme. E eu n\u00e3o estava muito satisfeita com isso, porque eu sempre gostei de \u00e1gua. Ent\u00e3o eu fiz uma primeira viagem para o Rio Negro. Nesse momento, eu decidi que era nos rios que eu iria trabalhar&#8221;, disse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maria Teresa tamb\u00e9m se formou mestra e doutora no Inpa, e passou a atuar como pesquisadora efetiva em 1988.\u00a0Mas ao longo de sua carreira tamb\u00e9m lecionou como professora convidada em muitas outras universidades e institui\u00e7\u00f5es de pesquisa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pesquisadora ainda participou de diversas iniciativas de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica internacional em prol da regi\u00e3o, como o Conselho Cient\u00edfico Internacional do Programa de Grande Escala da Biosfera-Atmosfera da Amaz\u00f4nia e a parceria Brasil\u2013Alemanha Inpa\/MCTI-Sociedade Max-Planck.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em \u00e2mbito nacional j\u00e1 integrou o Conselho Nacional de Zonas \u00damidas do Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente o Diagn\u00f3stico Brasileiro de Biodiversidade e Servi\u00e7os Ecossist\u00eamicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seu principal objeto de estudo, no momento, s\u00e3o os efeitos da varia\u00e7\u00e3o nos n\u00edveis de \u00e1gua, durante as cheias e vazantes dos rios.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A \u00e1gua sobe e desce ao longo do ano e transforma os sistemas de uma maneira \u00fanica e gerando adapta\u00e7\u00f5es de organismos e tamb\u00e9m influenciando todas as cadeias alimentares e os estoques de carbono da regi\u00e3o de uma maneira \u00fanica&#8221;, explica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mas tamb\u00e9m pesquisa as mudan\u00e7as ocorridas por a\u00e7\u00f5es humanas, como na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de barragens.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;O que a gente tem encontrado \u00e9 que, em 30 anos ap\u00f3s a Hidrel\u00e9trica de Balbina, em mais de 125 quil\u00f4metros de \u00e1reas, as florestas v\u00eam morrendo gradualmente, em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da falta de regularidade no suprimento de \u00e1gua, porque esse suprimento passa a responder \u00e0 demanda energ\u00e9tica\u201d, explica em refer\u00eancia \u00e0 usina constru\u00edda no Rio Uatum\u00e3, no Amazonas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pesquisadora refor\u00e7a a import\u00e2ncia dos cursos d&#8217;\u00e1gua da regi\u00e3o para o pa\u00eds, e alerta para uma corrida &#8220;contra o tempo&#8221; e contra a\u00e7\u00f5es humanas &#8220;delet\u00e9rias&#8221;, que est\u00e3o aprofundando a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o desses ambientes e favorecendo as mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Apenas os grandes rios como Amazonas, Solim\u00f5es e Rio Negro, que s\u00e3o o que n\u00f3s chamamos um conjunto de v\u00e1rzeas e igap\u00f3s, cobrem 750 mil km quadrados. Isso \u00e9 quase tr\u00eas vezes o estado de S\u00e3o Paulo. Os pequenos cursos d&#8217;\u00e1gua, que aqui s\u00e3o chamados igarap\u00e9s, perfazem mais de 1 milh\u00e3o de km quadrados&#8221;, explica Maria Teresa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A sociedade brasileira, de uma maneira geral, depende de todo o balan\u00e7o h\u00eddrico da regi\u00e3o amaz\u00f4nica. Os corpos d&#8217;\u00e1gua e a floresta formam um conjunto que bombeia a \u00e1gua para os sistemas da terra e essa \u00e1gua se transforma em rios voadores que v\u00e3o para o Sul, Sudeste\u201d, disse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs pesquisas acabam sendo fundamentais para que a gente possa tanto designar \u00e1reas de preserva\u00e7\u00e3o, quanto entender a fragilidade
