{"id":6786,"date":"2026-05-05T19:13:57","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T22:13:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nahoranoticias.com\/?p=6786"},"modified":"2026-05-05T19:13:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T22:13:58","slug":"estudo-de-longo-prazo-na-amazonia-descarta-teoria-de-savanizacao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nahoranoticias.com\/?p=6786","title":{"rendered":"Estudo de longo prazo na Amaz\u00f4nia descarta teoria de savaniza\u00e7\u00e3o"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inc\u00eandios empobrecem o solo, mas floresta \u00e9 capaz de se recuperar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/tts-app.ebc.com.br\/media\/tts\/255963.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um estudo realizado em Quer\u00eancia, no Mato Grosso, regi\u00e3o da Amaz\u00f4nia mais afetada pelo desmatamento nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, avaliou os impactos das secas e queimadas que atingem a floresta em regi\u00f5es pressionadas pela agricultura.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/ebc.png?id=1687522&amp;o=node\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/ebc.gif?id=1687522&amp;o=node\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ap\u00f3s 22 anos de pesquisa, a tese de savaniza\u00e7\u00e3o \u2013 defendida por cientistas desde a d\u00e9cada de 90 \u2013 foi descartada.\u00a0No lugar de uma poss\u00edvel substitui\u00e7\u00e3o das florestas por gram\u00edneas e arbustos (vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00edpica de savanas),\u00a0os cientistas observaram a retomada dos espa\u00e7os afetados pelo fogo e seca\u00a0pelas mesmas esp\u00e9cies florestais<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cO que a gente est\u00e1 mostrando \u00e9 que a floresta recupera, que ela \u00e9 altamente resiliente e tem essa capacidade de voltar e de retornar aos espa\u00e7os altamente degradados\u201d, avalia Leandro Maracahipes, pesquisador da Universidade de Yale apoiado pelo Instituto Serrapilheira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O bi\u00f3logo explica que, apesar da boa not\u00edcia, h\u00e1 uma s\u00e9rie de condi\u00e7\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias para que, de fato, a floresta retome o seu espa\u00e7o.\u00a0A principal \u00e9 a interrup\u00e7\u00e3o dos inc\u00eandios, mas tamb\u00e9m a necessidade de preservar as florestas por perto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u00c9 preciso que voc\u00ea tenha uma fonte de dispers\u00e3o pr\u00f3xima pra poder recuperar essa \u00e1rea. Porque tem que ter uma matriz de vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o nativa pr\u00f3xima, animais para poder dispersar essas sementes com o vento. Se n\u00e3o tiver, vai ser mais dif\u00edcil e mais lento\u201d, diz Macahipes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O estudo come\u00e7ou em 2004, em uma \u00e1rea de 150 hectares, com um levantamento para documentar a vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o, os animais e insetos que habitavam o local originalmente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dividida em tr\u00eas espa\u00e7os de 50 hectares, duas fra\u00e7\u00f5es passaram por queimadas: uma delas a cada tr\u00eas anos, e a outra todos os anos at\u00e9 2010. A terceira fra\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o foi atingida pelo fogo no per\u00edodo do estudo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Empobrecimento<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde ent\u00e3o, as \u00e1reas atingidas foram observadas e logo ap\u00f3s os inc\u00eandios, a primeira constata\u00e7\u00e3o foi de empobrecimento da biodiversidade no local. A riqueza de esp\u00e9cies caiu 20,3% nas \u00e1reas queimadas anualmente e 46,2% na fra\u00e7\u00e3o queimada a cada tr\u00eas anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em 2012, uma tempestade de vento afetou a \u00e1rea causando uma mortandade de 5% das \u00e1rvores no local. Inicialmente, os cientistas registraram uma \u00e1rea totalmente transformada pelos dist\u00farbios, mas com o passar do tempo a floresta se mostrou mais forte que as cicatrizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCom o docel [cobertura formada pela copa das \u00e1rvores] aberto havia mais gram\u00ednea, principalmente na borda da floresta. Recentemente o docel fechou e hoje a gente tem 10% de gram\u00ednea na \u00e1rea. O ambiente parece muito mais um ambiente florestal. Com certeza, o interior recuperou muito mais r\u00e1pido do que a borda, e a composi\u00e7\u00e3o de esp\u00e9cies est\u00e1 retornando\u201d, diz o pesquisador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apesar da recupera\u00e7\u00e3o ao longo do tempo, a floresta ainda n\u00e3o \u00e9 a mesma com uma margem inferior de esp\u00e9cies que varia de 31,3% a 50,8%, dependendo se foi mais ou menos atingida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vulnerabilidade<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA floresta volta em uma nova condi\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o volta com todos aqueles servi\u00e7os que ela fornecia. Ela volta muito mais vulner\u00e1vel. As esp\u00e9cies que fazem parte dessa nova composi\u00e7\u00e3o, elas t\u00eam casca fina e densidade da madeira baixa e morrem muito mais facilmente\u201d, explica Maracahipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al\u00e9m da vulnerabilidade aos dist\u00farbios causados pelo homem, como o fogo, a floresta em regenera\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 pressionada por secas cada vez mais extremas resultantes das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Embora as esp\u00e9cies florestais mantenham a capacidade de se hidratar durante o processo de regenera\u00e7\u00e3o, os cientistas consideram que \u00e9 preciso recuperar mais \u00e1reas degradadas para que o acesso \u00e0 \u00e1gua seja mantido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote
